CLASSICAL MUSIC AWAITS!
The Aspen Music Festival is one of the highlights of Summer in Aspen,
running from June 19 to August 17 in 2008. There are concerts, special
events or recitals just about every day of the summer season!

RIDE
THE GONDOLA
One of the highlights of summer in Aspen is a ride up on the Aspen
Mountain Gondola. Operating weekends in May and September, and daily June
through Labor Day, the gondola ride is well worth taking! At the top, you
will find the Sundeck Restaurant, serving luncheon and snacks on top of
Aspen Mountain, and featuring the most amazing views you will see! What
a way to enjoy a scenic ride, perhaps a short hike or weekend concert,
and then lunch at over 11,000 feet. Wow, don't forget your camera!
SUMMER
IN ASPEN
So many things to do, just take your pick! The beauty of the Colorado
Rockies and the delightfully warm but dry weather of Aspen are features
that bring people back here in the warm weather months over and over again
-- but there is so much more! Activities include white water rafting, hiking
and climbing, mountain bike trips, jeep tours in the high country, the
Snowmass Rodeo and Bar-B-Q, horseback riding, picnics in the mountains,
the gondola ride to the top of Aspen Mountain, and more.
MUSIC,
DANCE, ART AND MORE... Culture? Wow, do we have
that! The Aspen Music Festival runs most of the summer, featuring outstanding
concerts, recitals and special events. The Aspen Ballet hosts a summer
season, and the Theater in the Park provides plays, musicals and fun for
everyone. The Aspen Historical Society opens the Wheeler-Stallard House
and Museum, and sponsors trips to nearby the ghost towns of Ashcroft and
Independence. Don't forget the Aspen Art Museum, Aspen Filmfest in the
spring and fall, and one of our favorites -- Jazz Aspen/Snowmass in late
June and over the Labor Day Weekend.
