Our Aussie friends are in town, and we're celebrating Australia Appreciation Week from January 8-12 on all four Aspen Snowmass mountains. Celebrated annually in Aspen, this marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British Ships at Port Jackson, New South Wales, and the raising of the Flag of Great Britain at that site by Governor Arthur Phillip. Festivities all week include special treats like Vegemite toast at Aspen Mountain, Meat Pies and 'snags' at Snowmass, and Skippy the Kangaroo will hang with Max the Moose at Buttermilk.
