What a great little place to stay in Aspen. Room was large and clean. Real fireplace a great touch. Hot tub was never crowded. All the people were amazing and so helpful and location can't be beat. If in Aspen this is hands down the place we will stay.

We spent 5 nights at the Aspen Square Condos. Our studio condo was quiet, clean and at 500 square feet, spacious enough for the 2 of us. Very centrally located near shops, restaurants, ski lifts and hiking trails. The front desk staff was helpful and cheerful. Highly recommended facility.

We had a wonderful stay. It was nice to have a kitchenette in the room so we could relax in the morning with a cup of coffee and breakfast items from the store a few doors down. They did a really good job of cleaning the room daily. The staff was friendly and helpful. We recommend the Aspen Square Hotel and will stay there again the next time we are in town.

I've been going to Aspen for 15 years to stay and I never knew about this gem! What a gorgeous hotel and the common areas are superb! We loved everything about our stay...the beds were like sleeping on pillows and the robs so warm and comfy. We will be back!

January 21: The place was amazing. Everything was wonderful, didn’t want to leave.

January 21: The location is best part. Close to shopping close to skiing close to outdoor events The rooms are insulated enough to where you can’t hear your neighbors , always a good thing.

January 21: The Aspen Square Condominium was a great choice for everything: it was great to have an apartment with kitchen, so we took breakfast at home, the location was amazing, a walking distance of everything, and I loved the bed that was very soft and gave us good dreams!

January 20: Never ate breakfast out went to the mtns every morning by 9am the snow was excellent the weather was perfect especially for January. Aspen Mtn. was great the first day the next two days were spent at Snowmass.

January 17: Condo hotel located in a prime heart of Aspen location - a few short blocks to everything - the Gondola at Ajax mountain, the supermarket, amazing shopping and restaurants, the transportation center (for the other mountains). Loved having a kitchenette as well. Great family option! With daily housekeeping, balcony and fireplace!

December 8: This was for my long birthday weekend. We were very pleased with our well appointed room which had a fabulous view of the mountains! There were robes to use, a re-usable bag which we used for our daily shopping at the market, two water bottles and two key holders on lanyards. There was a wood burning fireplace and everything you needed to light it was available...Housekeeping came by every morning and asked if we needed anything as we had the do not disturb sign on the doorknob. We wanted to lay around and move in our own time; therefore, didn't need housekeeping to clean. Everything we needed was in walking distance including free bus transportation which was great to just sit back and enjoy the view of so many beautiful snow-capped mountains. This was our first visit to Aspen. I look forward to returning and may very well stay here again. The front desk staff always spoke and were very helpful.

November 29: Our condo was really fabulous! Very clean and spacious; 2 bedrooms; kitchen and family room area; well stocked kitchen. Highly recommend this place!

November 27: Fantastic condo-hotel. Very clean. Location couldn't be better, steps from the City Market and the gondola. There is a heated outdoor pool as well as 2 hot tubs among the amenities. The studio is of great size and we had a beautiful view of the mountains.

November 23: The location is wonderful! It is super close to the slopes and restaurants/ shops! it’s right in the middle of Aspen which made our stay very enjoyable! We walked anywhere we needed to go! There is no breakfast included in this location HOWEVER poppycock’s is located right outside of the entrance to this complex, and it has fabulous breakfast!

November 7: These spacious condos are a very good value for Aspen and won’t break the bank. They have all the amenities you could need including a lovely outdoor pool and two hot tubs which our kids loved. We parked our car in the garage for the long weekend and just walked everywhere. The hotel is also very conveniently located across the street from City Market. No complaints especially for the price!

October 25: Beautiful 2 bedroom condo, had a terrific stay. Close to everything in town, grocery store down below which was awesome since we had 4 kids to feed.

October 12: Nicely updated condo with a wonderful, central location. This was a weekend trip with my daughter and we appreciated the security limiting access to the building. Nice outdoor area with fire pit, pool and hot tubs. All in all a well equipped, clean condo. Check in was easy using the pre-arrival check in process online. Will definitely stay here again.

October 1: Excellent location with it’s own parking. The studio room was extremely clean with daily maid service. Tons of towels, pillows and even a humidifier. I will definitely always stay at the Square.

Our first, but definitely not last , stay at Aspen Square. We were blown away by the room, view, location, parking and attention to detail of the property. Staff was very helpful as well.

This was our third time staying at Aspen Square hotel and the best experience yet. This is the only place we will stay when visiting Aspen and we'll be back many times over. The whole experience and amenities are unmatched and the entire staff make it feel like home.

August 18: Excellent location; we regret renting a car because everything was nearby and we only used it once. It was nice though that the parking was free. 

August 16:The condo hotel is a good value for Aspen. It is in the center of town, yet quiet. Efficient and friendly service. Practically next to the supermarket. Nice courtyard with pool and hot tubs. Only complaint is that fitness center is dated and does not open until 7AM each day. My understanding is that fitness center is soon to be renovated.

August 21: We built a fire every morning. The location was perfect, a block or 2 away from the lift, within easy walking distance of everything else. The market & liquor store were less than a block away. We kept trying to find something they hadn't thought of and the only thing we came up with was a couple of containers for leftovers would have been handy. But they had everything else!

August 10: Great location centrally located in Aspen. We had a spacious fireplace studio with king bed and sofa bed which was perfect for 2 friends. Parking was included and convenient. The bed linens were the best on the trip! Great for a good night’s sleep after very full days!

Wow is all I can say, they have done such an amazing job handling all of the unexpected chaos that covid brought to us. they went through a complete building redo and didn't miss a beat. the staff and general manager are warm and welcoming and makes you feel like family... not a guest.. that is why people come back and stay year after year.

The location of Aspen Square is perfect, right in the middle of Aspen. The service staff is awesome and went above board to help us when we needed support the day my daughter got ill. Our unit was outstanding and very comfortable.

My sisters and I met for a weekend in Aspen and stayed at a condominium at Aspen Square. The condominium was beautiful, stocked with the essentials for cooking and we had cleaning service daily. It is perfectly located and could walk to restaurants and shopping. I will definitely return.

Awesome place to stay! Super convenient right in the middle of Aspen’s action, yet also quiet and private. Our balcony had a great mountain view, and the kids loved the pool. Very clean and nice condos, and helpful staff too. We’ll definitely stay here again.

My family of 5 stayed in June and were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and location was great. We all enjoyed the pool and hot tubs. Check in was easy. Evenings on the balcony were enjoyable and more importantly we all slept great!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aspen Square. It is amazing place to stay and we enjoyed every moment of it. Situated in the heart of Downtown with breathtaking views of the mountains and within walk-in distance of restaurants and other tourist attractions, our decision to stay was a no brainer and will come back to stay here next time we visit Aspen. Had no expectations since we were just in and out for one night. Wow! We were pleasantly surprised what we got for the price:

• Best location in Aspen
• Comfortable, we’ll appointed room. Even in the closet they had items in case you forgot to pack for your travels. I recognize each original owner has their own style, but this unit 223 was perfectly styled.
• Clean, clean and clean.
• Incredible price — really incredible. I did a price comparison the night of we stayed. All hotel options were $1k+/night. The closest hotels to our price (and we were still less by $100) were 45 mins away in Carbondale (one was a Motel 8).

If you want to do Aspen and not have to take out a second mortgage, I HIGHLY recommend checking out this condo property. It even has an on-site pool and hot tubs.

June 15: The hotel is stylish and comfortable and the staff are helpful. Our gorgeous studio room had plenty of space and had everything we wanted. We enjoyed the balcony views of the mountains. June 25: You get mountain views almost every direction! Great location to walk to all downtown locations. Husband has a bad back and he had trouble with the very hard bed. Memory foam topper would fix this!

June 15: Great location, room was spacious and nice, would be great for a longer stay with the nice little kitchen it had. Comfy bed, nice bathroom, good lighting (a rarity these days). Parking was easy, though it may have been deceptively easy without being able to gauge how full they were. Location is great if you want to be downtown and able to walk around to the museum (excellent!) and shops/galleries etc.

We stayed here this past weekend while in town for a friend’s wedding. I’ll get into the details of the room shortly but before that I just want to recognize the service provided by the staff. We were supposed to check in Friday night around 5p but when our flights got cancelled, we didn’t end up getting into Aspen until after 10p. I called the front desk on the way and let the staff know we’d be arriving late. He explained the (after 9pm) check-in procedure and told us Security would get us sorted. When we arrived to check-in, we realized Beau (the front desk staff) had stayed until we arrived at 10:15p to make sure the room was up to par and we didn’t need anything. THAT is service. It was not expected so we really appreciated that! Shout out to Beau - thank you! On top of that, the next morning, staff helped us print out a confirmation email and the check out Sunday went smoothly.

The location is great, next door to a grocery store AND walking distance to the gondola. The room was very clean and spacious for a studio, with a nice view! We love that this came equipped with a full kitchen - we didn’t use it, but can definitely see the value of it if you were staying longer than two nights! Towels and hotel toiletries were amply supplied and the rooms get cleaned daily just like if you were staying at a hotel. They have a pool and hot tub and a cute courtyard area!

You really can’t beat the value you get here and we will definitely be back next time we’re in Aspen!

I have been coming to Aspen/Snowmass since 1987. I have always walked by this hotel as we own a place in Snowmass. My husband and I decided to take a weekend away and stay in Aspen. What a treat and a pleasant surprise this hotel has been. The location is perfect. The rooms are clean and the staff attentive. We love it and are talking about when we will come back again or how can we own one of these! We are here a few more days and enjoying everything.

My son and I were very pleased. We rented a two bedroom two bath condo on the first floor and the patio overlooked the street. Great walking location easy to get to everything. Front desk and all workers were very friendly. Our rooms were clean in the laundry mat was just out our door so we were able to get laundry done. If I ever get back to Aspen I will stay there again because it was so nice and convenient.

Great location, wonderful room, welcoming staff
This condo hotel was perfect for my mini ski vacation. My room had a view of the slopes just a short block away. The room itself was very comfortable, and the full kitchen was well appointed. Restaurants were all a short stroll away, but so was a nice little grocery store and wine store. I flew into ASE, and had no need of a car. The hotel is also just a block away from the bus stop, which will get you to all of the local slopes and even the airport. The room had ski racks inside by the door as well as out on the balcony. The only minor issue I had while there was that the light switches in my room were not all in intuitive locations. Like I said, very minor. Everything else was perfect. I will gladly stay again given the opportunity!

Very large room with a cabin feel. Loved having a balcony facing the pool/ hot tub area. Large, fully stocked kitchen! Bathroom was fairly small and could use a bit updating but it was clean, which is most important. Great location across from a coffee shop, bakery and grocery store!

If there was more than five stars to rate the staff, I would give them the highest score. The rooms are clean, well thought out, and more than adequate. The property itself is a little dated, but if you are looking for a great location, convenience, and awesome staff, this is the place.

There was no breakfast in the hotel or snacks due to Covid-19, but I felt very safe working with staff and their set up in the lobby. Plexiglass blocked the front desk so we all felt safe. They allowed us to not have room service which made me feel safe.

Perfect location! Can walk to and from Ajax chair with your ski gear. The staff were amazing and helped with all of our requests! Fireplace in the room was a super nice touch and the ability to cook your own meal is amazing. We ended up eating out most nights but the night we did cook at the apartment was super easy, full-sized kitchen with everything you need and the Grocery store is across the road so you can easily run across and get anything you might've forgotten.

I was so happy to find out what an amazing location this hotel was when we arrived in Aspen! We were right across the street from the gondola for Aspen Mnt, so a really easy walk with ski boots on, and 1 block from the free shuttle buses that took us to Aspen Highlands, Snowmass, and Buttermilk! We were in the heart of downtown Aspen, so an easy walk to bars and restaurants. A market and liquor store was a football field away! It was perfect! Our room overlooked the hot tubs with slopes in view. The decor was nice. It looked like it had been redone in the past few years. It was clean and the staff was great!

My husband and I were there to ski Aspen Mnt, Aspen Highlands, and enjoy the downtown area in the evenings. It was the PERFECT location. Our walk to the Gondola carrying skis was a breeze since it’s right across the street. Our walk to the free shuttle was easy since the bus station is one block away. The hotel is a perfect location near great restaurants and everything down town has to offer, but super easy to get to the slopes without a car! The room lived larger than it was. We had plenty of room to sit on the couch/chairs but we weren’t in the room very much and hadn’t planned on being in the room much. We enjoyed the hot tub after skiing and appreciated the robes in the room. The staff was friendly and professional at all times. I would definitely stay here again!

I would definitely stay here again! The location was PERFECT! We walked across 1 street to land right at the gondola at Aspen Mnt. We only walked one block to the free shuttle to go to Aspen Highlands and get to X-Games. We were surrounded by great bars and restaurants. Our room was bigger than I had expected. The condo did not provide breakfast but we had a full equipped kitchen. The grocery store is a block away so we shopped our first day there and made our own breakfasts. We were one block from the Aspen Mountain Gondola - the location couldn't have been more convenient. The hot tubs were wonderfully hot and had strong double jets. The condo was in great shape and nicely updated.

My son and I stayed in a corner studio the week before Xmas. The location is perfect- close to everything. Our unit was very updated & fully stocked with everything one could need. The Jacuzzi was one of the best I’ve ever used- super hot with very strong jets. Great Wifi, very comfortable bed. The staff was extremely friendly & helpful. The room was cleaned daily (even the coffee was replenished). Great supermarket is directly across the street. Overall, I was very impressed & would definitely return.

There was a major system coming in and I could not afford to miss flight so had to cut things short and head back to Denver. This studio condo is a total gem! The location could not be better for walking during the off-season. Not only that, there's a grocery store across the street to stock up for plans to eat a few meals in the room. The room itself was beautifully decorated and stocked with everything we could possibly have needed. There is a courtyard pool, hot tub, and fitness room that we didn't use during this stay but would be a great place to wind down for the evening. Definitely recommend Aspen Square!

What a wonderful stay. I think the only reason I’ve not tried Aspen Square was the condominium in the name. I’ve stayed at most of the top hotels in Aspen and for the price: Aspen Square can’t be beat. Now I have heard you definitely take a chance on which condo you will get. Mine was tricked out likes cabin in a Wild West film but I happened to love the vibe. A 10 am check out perhaps helped my room to be ready at 11:30 am. Ahhhhh. Huge grocery and very high-end liquor store across the street and I was ready for the week. Even right on the main street: my studio was quiet and cozy. Really nice kitchen. Free Parking ...although a bit tight was great to have. My bumper warning came in handy. The staff was super friendly: Cathy at the concierge desk really knows the town and little touches: like lemonade in the lobby and fluffy towels at the pool make this seem like a first-rate hotel. Finally: there is no better location in town. Not the Jerome or St Regis. It’s close to perfect for half the price. Maybe no room service or lobby bar: etc but when you are near everything and have a full-size fridge: you don’t need much else.

My family and I LOVED staying at Aspen Square. It will be our one and only place to stay on future trips. Loved the proximity to shops, a grocery store, etc. and also the Downtowner shuttle to the Aspen Music Festival. Our two BR condo was more than ample space-wise. Loved the welcome cookie bag! My regrets are: we didn't stay longer so that we could cook in the wonderful kitchen, and that it wasn't cold enough to use the fireplace! Also, my husband was concerned about the balcony doors not locking (I don't think anyone could get in through the balcony unless they really, REALLY wanted to). We called someone to come up, he tried to fix them, and he said they needed to be repaired. Overall, a LOVELY experience!

We recently were in town for a wedding and stayed at the Aspen Square Condominium Hotel. Our room had a king size bed and living room furniture. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with a bar and stools looking into the kitchen the grounds were wonderful he cared for and firewood was supplied for the wood-burning fireplace in the room. I would recommend this hotel without reservation.

You will be hard pressed to find anything to complain about when staying at Aspen Square. Location Perfect! Surrounded by top restaurants, shops and just cross the street from the gondola. Incredible views and charming rooms, with fridge, stove, etc. Wood burning fireplaces in every room and the hotel supplies the wood free of charge. Parking is also free, and many of the spaces are underground. If you are lucky enough to travel to Aspen, try to reserve a room here. You won't forget your stay.

The room is clean and spacious with a fireplace. The staff will bring wood for the fireplace. The bed is comfortable & the view is great. The hotel is centrally located near the ski lifts, restaurants & shopping. There are heated hot tubs and pool. Robes are furnished. There is a Monday food, drink & entertainment. The staff is very helpful.

This small Condo- Hotel is a little Jewel in the heart of downtown Aspen. Wonderful staff, and great accommodations- nice rooms with balcony and full kitchens. All right across from the gondola and in the middle of great shopping, restaurants and galleries. Beautiful pool area with 2 hot tubs. Helped make our stay very comfortable and memorable.

February 20, 2018: "Great Hotel in the heart of Aspen"
Hotels aren't cheap in Aspen so we were very pleased when we checked in for 1 night here in December. Check in was a bit tricky because we had to call a couple of numbers in order to find out how to check in, but the location and room were great. We had a corner room overlooking the town and distant hills. The room was clean and well stocked -- and lots of windows to enjoy the views. The free firewood was a nice touch and we really enjoyed sitting by the fireplace with a great fire. Loved being able to leave our car and poke around town. Friendly staff. Definitely a great place to stay in Aspen.

February 7, 2018: "Comfortable and Convenient"

Just completed a ten night stay at Aspen Square and couldn’t be more pleased. The location is simply superb, just steps from the Silver Queen Gondola, bus station, City Mart and the various shops and restaurants Aspen has to offer. We stayed in a Fireplace Studio. The room was large with a super king bed, sitting area, very useable kitchen, shower room and lots of storage (ideal when skiing). We had a balcony overlooking Red Mountain. The wi-fi was reliable and the staff, especially the General Manager, were friendly - they held a food and drink reception (with live music) on both Mondays we were there, which was a great way to meet other guests. There are two hot tubs and a pool, with robes and towels provided. We’ve stayed at the Limelight and the Gant on previous trips to Aspen, but this is now our accommodation of choice.

August 12, 2017: "Aspen Music Festival"

My wife and I stayed here to visit our daughter who was performing in the AMF. Foremost, EXCELLENT location! Perfect 5!! Make sure you eat next door at Poppycock’s restaurant for breakfast or lunch too, they have great food, prices and coffee is so much better than Starbucks (which is not very good at all). Anyhow, Aspen Square Condominium Hotel is wonderful. Staff is very friendly, warm and helpful. Our room, a studio (all other room types were sold out) was much better than a typical hotel room. Spacious, clean, nicely appointed. Housekeeping kept the room in great shape (thank you!). I would highly recommend staying here. We had an interior balcony overlooking the pool, waterfall and hot tub. Very quiet, peaceful and great view of Aspen Mountain off our porch (room 215). Great value for the money spent versus spending $800 a night for a hotel room elsewhere. Did I mention the GREAT LOCATION ! 

August 10, 2017: "Great Hotel"

We stayed at Aspen square condominium for 3 nights during our July trip to Aspen. This hotel is centrally located in downtown and all the restaurants are easy walkable distance. Check in was quick and my kids were excited to see welcoming chocolate chip cookies in our suite when we checked in. The suite was decent size and we had a balcony with nice views of the mountains. Parking can be little tight in their parking garage but it is free. Bed was nice and comfortable and bathroom was of decent size. The suite also has a small kitchen so we were able to cook some food. Grocery store is right across the street. Make sure to open the windows while cooking as the fire alarm goes off even with little bit of smoke from cooking. We did not have any issue during our stay and will definitely stay at this hotel during our next trip to Aspen.

The Aspen Square property is located in the hub of activity in downtown Aspen, so you don't have to drive anywhere ... unless it is to view such gems as Pyramid Peak and the Maroon Bells, or Independence Pass. Staff was excellent ... very helpful and full of information about what to do in the area for those who are new to Aspen. Room was excellent ... spacious, clean, a comfortable bed, fireplace, balcony looking up at Aspen Mountain, fully equipped kitchen. Couldn't have asked for more.

This was a wonderful choice for our one night stay and would be great for a longer stay. Our king size bed was crazy comfortable and the hotel even takes care to provide shower poofs and sewing kits among its toiletries. We visited during the off season so our rate was great and I'm not sure what it'll look like next time we'd like to stay, but we definitely will be back.

May 10, 2017: “My second stay, have a 3^rd planned”
On this trip, the first week of May, many of the restaurants and stores were closed for the off season. This didn't matter, we don't ski and everything is much more affordable. My sister traveled with me and my wife so we got a 2 bedroom 2 bath this time. The room was so nice I would have loved to moved right into that same spot. The views were great, the weather fantastic and the people couldn't be friendlier. We plan another trip for October.

April 26: “Excellent Location, Great Accomodations”
This was our first time to Aspen Square and it was fantastic. Highly recommend top floor corner unit. Pool, hot tub have recently been completely remodeled. Location is in a safe place and walking distance to everything. Excellent location to lifts, cafes, restaurants, shopping etc. Our suite had been recently upgraded and was in good condition. The condo was quiet and very comfortable. Staff was attentive and service oriented.

March 27, 2018: We skied at Aspen five years ago and stayed at a different condo. We chose to stay here based on the recommendation of friends. From the moment we were welcomed at the front door upon arrival right through to our departure we had a great stay. The hotel is ideally located opposite the gondola plaza in Aspen. We rented a two bedroom condo which was on the first floor up from street level for our family of four and it had everything we needed. The bedrooms were more than adequate and the kitchen/lounge/dining area was all open plan and very very comfortable. Housekeeping was great. I would definitely come back here on my next trip to Aspen.

March 7, 2017: This is the third time time that I have stayed at aspen square. My eighth visit to aspen and I have tried other hotels and apartments however I now just return to Aspen Qquare as it ticks all the boxes. It is in a fabulous location to the main mountain, one block from the free buses to the other mountains and right in the heart of aspen village. All apartments have fully catered kitchens and fireplaces. The two bedroom apartments are great accommodation for a family or two couples and last year we stayed in a studio which was plenty big enough for my husband and daughter and myself. The hotel has great amenities, concierge, front desk, all very helpful, a swimming pool and gym. A great experience.

January 11, 2017: "20th Year Staying at Aspen Square - we find everything we want and need within the city block owned by the hotel"
Incredibly central and convenient to both restaurants and the Aspen Mountain (Ajax) Silver Queen gondola just across the street, Aspen Square offers Studio through 3-bedroom accommodations and we have been so well-served with a wonderful mountain-view 2-bedroom/2-bath/living-dining-kitchen with generous deck and fireplace that I asked for every Christmas now. Two whirlpools and pool are nestled in central open area that is so socially inviting for after ski. We never rent a car and move from mountain-to-mountain on free Aspen Ski Corp buses just a block walk from the hotel, walk to all of Aspen's great food and shops amid 200-year-old Victorian buildings and street scenes.

December, 2016: "I feel great when I pay the bill each year"
Aspen Square is one of those rare places where I feel great when I pay the bill each year. I tried the "best hotel" in Aspen across the street last Christmas, and Aspen Square is still my favorite favorite - regardless of cost.

November 28, 2016: "Excellent in every way!"
We stayed in a 2BR unit mid-November and had a wonderful time. The main reason for going to Aspen in the off season was to chill (literally as well as figuratively- we're from Florida), enjoy a change in scenery, and do a few moderate hikes. Because of our laid back itinerary, we spent a lot of time in the condo. The amenities included in the price of the room were impressive and appreciated, including bathrobes, firewood & fire starter, tote bags, chocolates, coffee service (including tea's, hot chocolate and apple cider) ,daily maid service, and extensive bathroom supplies. All the employees were super friendly and helpful, and the property well maintained and clean; and it's within a few steps of the grocery/liquor store, a cozy breakfast/lunch spot, and some very nice restaurants. I would definitely stay there again!

November 6, 2016: "Great stay!"
We were able to walk to all of our shopping and restaurants locations. Our room was very cozy and much bigger than anticipated, we rented the 1bedroom, 1 bath. The Manager and Francis were very helpful with all of our questions and had several suggestions for restaurants. When we come back we will definitely book here again.

October 30, 2016: "Aspen Square"
Beautiful large condo that is fully equipped and spacious. Located in a hotel that is first class, Workout facilities and swimming pool (summer guest!) Excellent location in the heart of the city with many shops and restaurants literally just a few feet from the hotel. My first time staying there but it is the only place I will stay on a return visit.

This was our second stay at Aspen Square. Having a kitchen is a great plus and staying in a "home" setting is so much nicer than just a hotel room.

October 8, 2016: "Only place to stay in Aspen"

This and other places may be ridiculously priced during summer and especially during winter ski season, but Aspen Square in October was a SUPER find. The price was LOW for what you get. .... Large, large room with fireplace, dishwasher, garbage disposal, balcony, full-size fridge, ...everything. I called a couple days ahead, not knowing what to expect, pricewise. Booked it for one day and once checked in, I went downstairs and got two more nights. Why rush off to Glenwood springs or denver while on a Colorado vacation? Aspen and the aspens were awesome and there may be other places in Aspen vying for off-season visitors' dollars with a discount price, but Aspen Square will be our return destination.

October 2, 2016: "Well equipped room and centrally located"
Our condominium room was well equipped with cooker, fridge, freezer and ample amounts of glasses, crockery and cutlery. The fridge was rather noisy at night. We had a corner room with a great view and the aspens were in full autumn colour. Parking is in a courtyard entered from the side of the hotel and there is also underground parking. Street parking is available while checking in. We visited at the end of September, which is out of season. There are very few places offering breakfast and we searched for a long time before finding a Starbucks. We should have asked at reception or turned right instead of left, when we would have found the cafe right next to the hotel.

September 15, 2016: "Terrific Small Hotel"
Great staff; ideal location; good amenities--pool, gym; next to grocery store and Gondola. We have stayed there numerous and always go back. The apartments are small but well equipped. Underground parking is a plus.

September 11, 2016: "Great Great Location and Awesome Rooms"
LOVED LOVED the location of the hotel. It's basically right across the street from Silver Queen Gondola. Obviously we weren't here for skiing since we were here in August, but I can only imagine the convenience during ski season! But even in the summer, it is still a great location since we were within walking distance of EVERYTHING! The room itself was very nice. Nice kitchenette, living space, bathroom, and bed area. We had a nice balcony overlooking the street. Overall everything exceeded out expectation. Parking was free and it was convenient (in the basement). We didn't use the pool (brrr) but we used the hot tubs a couple times. No issues there. We took full advantages of all the free cookies and lemonades in the lobby everyday we were there :):) Overall, I would highly recommend this place for its location and price and the full suite room type.

September 3, 2016: "Great property & location. Fantastic price for what you get in Aspen."
Maybe I hit the bargain jackpot over Labor Day weekend, but Aspen Square Condominium Hotel was in the 3.5 star price range and when I saw the property and location, I felt like I hit triple cherries on the slot machine.The location is phenomenal: downtown downtown in the middle of all the action, but two blocks from the base of the year-round gondola up the mountain. it's surrounded by shops and places to eat, and close to absolutely everything. You can easily stay across the street for four times this. The facility was equally exceptional, The lobby is immediately welcoming with a fireplace, concierge desk and friendly service. The pool area, while small, has a resort-like feel, and the halls and common spaces have an historic, Aspen-like feel. You can envision yourself here 65 years ago, surrounded by the last of the mountain men, the first generation skiers and leading-edge glampers.....The rooms are the real bonus. At least the one I got (at the entry price) had a full kitchen (including full size fridge, dishwasher, range/stove, microwave and all the cooking gear) a bar seating area plus a bonus table, two closets, a full king bed with all the frills, a giant leather coach, a couple full dressers and a full deck overlooking the town. Oh, yes, and a coffee pot (first day's coffee is provided), flat panel TV with DVD player, full fireplace and marble shower. If not quite five star luxury, this is at least 4.25 star with the extra bow to "mountain life". What's not to like?... I really can't see how I could have found a better place for my needs (it actually went wellbeyond those) at any price. I give out five circle scores sparingly, but, all things considered, this is a clear "5".

August 31, 2016: "Fantastic, ready to go back"
We went to Aspen in the off season, we don't ski, just wanted to visit a place in the mountains. I guess the John Denver songs can take the credit for our wanting to visit Aspen. Once we parked the rental car in the garage (we flew into Denver, drove the rest of the way) we never needed it again. The hotel room was great, roomy, had a balcony and a full kitchen. There is a grocery store right across the street (as well as a liquor store and meat market). We were a block away from the gondola that took us over the mountains ($22 each as I recall) and at the base of the gondola we chose the outside dining with good food, good drinks and a band. We took the short walk to the John Denver Sanctuary which was a nice quiet place to visit and a great tribute to his love of nature.

August 23, 2016: "Called a three star hotel. Should be double or triple three"
This is the best place in Aspen, and I have stayed at the St. Regis. It has location, views, balcony, working fireplace, big rooms and the friendliest staff. I want to call out Max the bell boy who, when we checked in, parked our car and moved all of our extensive luggage. And Denise the concierge who told us where to go and where not to go. It has it everything good and no negatives. I guess it got 3 stars because of lack of built in restaurant and room service. So what with a great built in kitchen and a million great restaurants in mile radius.

August 16, 2016: "Returning 20+ Years and Counting"
We have been going to Aspen Square every summer for almost 22 years. We started going when our children were young and stayed in the two bedroom units but have since "graduated" to the studio units which we just love. The units are individually owned and decorated differently but they are all very nice. The property is run beautifully. Immaculate from the lobby to the pool to the workout facility to the lovely rooms. The staff is very accommodating and the location of the hotel could not be better. We park our car and never see it again until we leave. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel other than occasionally it is booked when we want to go. Biggest regret about Aspen Square Condominium is that we didn't buy a unit 22 years ago. I love this place.

July 25, 2016: "Location, location, location"
Cute, quaint hotel in the middle of it all. We were able to walk everywhere, room was stunning and fully equipped, staff was also extremely polite and accommodating. We rented a car and parking was available in garage or in parking lot with a tag. Beautiful grounds around hotel. Wonderful time all the way around.

July 19, 2016: "Great place!"
This hotel has an amazing staff, location, and comfort! Our unit was extremely clean. The owners we run into in the elevator are hospitable, we could park our car, and not have to drive for all activities. Parking on site was easy. The lobby always has cookies, lemonade, and water! This was the end of a perfect day in Aspen!

June 16, 2016: "Best Ever"
Stayed here a couple of night this week. Without a doubt on of the best lodging experiences I have had. We had a one bedroom condo overlooking the gondola and town. Staff was excellent, place was clean and location could not be beat. I will definitely be back. Got an off season rate that made it especially sweet.

April 12, 2016: "Unexpectedly good"
First visit to Aspen, and with the price of the condo I wasn't expecting much. However, the condo was fully equipped so that I could prepare myself for Tough Mudder the following day with a full breakfast (to include kettle for making coffee). The staff were really pleasant and went out of their way to assist me. The room was clean and I've booked here again for Tough Mudder 2016! BTW, the parking garage is around the corner and under the hotel. The staff will give you a slip for your dash when you check in. Nice to have parking garage, there is seriously limited parking in Aspen.

February 20, 2016: "Family friendly - for all ages"
From the Monday singalong where waltzing Matilda emerged to the Sunday social gathering this place was just delightful. The gym is really well equipped and the pool and tubs were the other residence for my two kids. We stayed in a bedroom studio with fireplace and found it really comfortable. Friendly staff and great location. Excellent kitchen space and great housekeepers.

January 19, 2016: “Great Stay”
A little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for! This Hotel/Condominium is about 100-150 Feet from the lift! I have stayed here two times and have never had a bad experience. The staff is always nice and friendly, and they have a great pool and two nice hot tubs. I love this place so much because your right in the middle of the town and pretty close to the lift. Great place to stay!

January 5, 2016: “Practical Place”
The rooms are equipped with couch and a kitchen. Is the best place to stay if you don't want to rent a car, like to eat home, ski and to eat at restaurants in aspen village. One block away from the city supermarket and two blocks from the bus stop that takes you to the other mountains. Rooms do not have the same decoration, but all of them are very comfortable. It's not cheap but not expensive either.

December 29, 2015: “Perfect Location”
Can't beat the location of this hotel ...close to everything. The room finish varies depending on the unit you rent ... some are better upgraded and more modern than others. Nice pool area, friendly staff. One of our favorite paces to stay in Aspen.

December 15, 2015: “Perfectly laid out studio a block from ski lift.”
We stayed in a studio room on the second floor, with a balcony. The hotel is a square shaped with a court yard and parking lot in the middle. Our room was above the parking lot on the second floor facing the mountain. Slight noise level when on the balcony (from the parking lot) but not bad. The room was laid out perfectly with a full kitchen, fireplace and a very comfortable bed. The hotel The Hotel staff was very nice. Highly recommend.

December 4, 2015: “Well located, good bargain in summer for two couples in two bedroom”
Right in the center of business area near Ajax Mt base. Close to restaurants, grocery, liquor store, shopping, galleries. Excellent base for gearing up to hike backcountry. Baggage storage available, free parking, washer/dryer on each floor. Helpful staff at desk and concierge desk.

The hotel room was fantastic! Well decorated, had a working kitchen and nice styling. This hotel is nicely located in the middle of the city and you can walk to many great restaurants and bars. I'm definitely staying here again the next time I'm in Aspen.

September 1, 2015: "A little pricey, but so worth it"
Stayed here the weekend of August 14th and it was absolutely amazing. The rooms are spacious, service is impeccable, parking as good as it gets, and when the bell hop said it was the best parking in town, he was 100% correct. The complex consists of 2 buildings with a courtyard in between. Walk out the courtyard to the west and you are a block from the pedestrian mall. Walk out to the east, and you are across the street from a grocery store with surprisingly normal pricing, a liquor store and a sandwich shop. This was our first time to Aspen and we had no idea this place was going to be this perfect. Highly Recommended.

August 31, 2015: "Perfect!"
Aspen square is located in the heart of downtown Aspen - steps away from all restaurants and shops. The studio was spacious, clean, comfortable and authentically decorated in a rustic Colorado style. We had a wonderful view of Ajax mountain and could easily walk to the gondolas. On Friday, the hotel offered an excellent happy hour (beer/wine and hearty snacks) and featured live music on the pool deck. The staff was attentive and extremely helpful and hotel grounds were impeccably maintained. We will definitely return to Aspen and will without a doubt book Aspen Square again - you cannot beat the location or price!

August 11, 2015: "Quite Nice"
A very warm and friendly place to stay. Rooms are large, and the rooms and bathrooms are clean. Full kitchen makes it very convenient. the location can't be beat! Pool is small; lobby is small....Rooms include a small fireplace and we had a small balcony too. lots of closet space in the room, including small touches like a humidifier and iron/ ironing board, and great toiletries.

August 2, 2015: "Wedding stay with family"
Can't tell you enough how I loved this property. My family and kids stayed in a two bedroom two bath condo. It's clean, comfortable, great location and wonderful staff. Across the street from Market and steps from the Gondola . We were able to buy groceries and cook breakfast . Staff is friendly and helpful. Will be back!

July 30, 2015: "Cozy and comfortable"
Our 3rd floor studio was beautifully decorated and had a view of Aspen Mountain and the gondola. The location was perfect, just a couple of blocks from the gondola and only steps to many shops and dining options. The bed was comfortable, the room was spotless, and the staff was very helpful. Underground parking is available for guests. We look forward to going back next summer!

July 24, 2015: "Love this place!"
This hotel is perfectly located in the heart of downtown Aspen--within easy walking distance of all the shops and restaurants, as well as the gondola. We stayed in a studio with a kitchen, fireplace and sitting area. We loved all the storage space that allowed us to unpack completely. Not only was the room exceedingly comfortable, but the service in the hotel was excellent as well. There may be fancier hotels in Aspen, but none as comfortable and convenient as the Aspen Square Condominium Hotel. We will keep coming back.

July 17, 2015: "Prime Spot in Aspen"
This condo was in such an ideal spot. Close to shops, dining, walking trails, gondola and shuttle. The two bedroom condo had adequate space, and was clean and comfortable. Parking was free. They left a nice welcome package with chocolates, a reuseable shopping bag, tea and coffee. The price was very good, especially since it was off season. They had a very nice pool and two hot tubs. Staff was excellent. We hope to return.

July 14, 2015: "Excellent Location and Hospitable Staff"
I recently stayed at the Aspen Square Condos while attending the Aspen Ideas Festival on business. There were almost no accommodations available in Aspen by the time I registered, and I stayed here with a colleague on the recommendation of the Aspen Institute. I would strongly recommend Aspen Square for its perfect location in the heart of downtown Aspen and STEPS away from Aspen Mountain's gondola and The Little Nell. The units are impeccably clean and renovated (granite in kitchen, new bathrooms), although certainly not luxurious. The beds are quite comfortable and the living area and kitchen was nicely sized. Aside from the stellar location, the most appealing aspect of Aspen Square Condos is its attentive, warm, and very helpful staff. The front desk staff was welcoming, enthusiastic, and incredibly knowledgeable. My colleague and I couldn't stop commenting on their expertise and warmth throughout our stay. We really didn't spend much time on the property as we were attending the Festival, but I noted that the pool area has obviously been updated from a "motel" look to the modern standard. It is definitely located within the parking lot/hotel interior, but I was impressed that the property has done what it can with certain aspects of the original building and property. The common area/lobby features "Aspen style" décor and is quite cozy, but, again, not over-the-top luxurious. A nice, hospitable touch is the cookies and lemonade offered each afternoon. I think this would be a fantastic property for skiing with family due to its accommodating staff, location, kitchenette, and price.

June 16, 2015: "Great Location, Great Price, would definitely recommend!"
Stayed here for 3 nights recently and we absolutely loved it! Great location to walk anywhere in Aspen, the free parking is a huge benefit, and the price was great compared to the other hotels around. We stayed in a fireplace studio and when making my reservation, i requested to be on the top floor facing the mountains with a more recently renovated room. My request was granted and the room was perfect! The room was huge, well maintained, very clean (most important!), lots of closet space, and our room had stainless steel kitchen appliances and granite counter tops. We took advantage of fireplace and it was a nice touch in the room. The bathroom was huge, lots of counter space and good quality bathroom products were provided (Gilchrist & Soames London Collection). The pool and patio area outside are nicely maintained and the staff is really nice. City Market (the local grocery) is right next door and very convenient if you need to run over there for anything! I would definitely stay here again!

June 2, 2015: "Location location"
As many other reviewers have stated Aspen Square is in a fantastic location. Directly opposite the Silver Queen Gondola, in the heart of all the shops, cafes and restaurants and opposite the supermarket. Another bonus was that the ski school bus picked up the children right outside the building. We stayed in a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo that was perfectly comfortable & well equipped though not overly spacious. As we were out skiing all day, the size was not a huge issue it was just smaller than I was expecting. Our children enjoyed the outdoor pool and the cookies and lemonade served in the lobby in the afternoon. Overall we would stay at Aspen Square again (though it would be nice if they added airport transfers for all guests flying in and out).

Great location for walking everywhere, including restaurants, shopping, and Aspen mountain gondola. Also, underground parking. Very nice helpful friendly staff. comfortable bed and good quality pillows. 

April 24, 2015: "Great little place in center of town"
Aspen Square is a great place to stay if you want to be right in the middle of everything. These are condos - a benefit if you want to do your own cooking. Plus, there is a super market next door to do all your grocery shopping. The people here are really friendly too. When you step outside you will be one block from the main shops, one block from the ski lift, basically one block from anything you could need. Plus, there is a nice place to have breakfast attached to the building (Poppycocks). The gym is lacking and kind of creepy as it's down in a little room in the basement without windows. That's the only negative thing I can think of. Other than that, this place is great! 

April 16, 2015: "Fantastic location"
Perfectly situated near the main strip in Downtown Aspen. Stayed in the fireplace suite. Great getaway spot for a ski trip or a summer visit. I was there during the Aspen Shortsfest and was very impressed with the accommodations. Friendly service from all the employees I encountered.

March 30, 2015: "1st trip to Aspen"
We went to Aspen for spring break prior to the trip we had done our homework on where to stay and what to expect. We landed on Aspen Square and were very happy with our choice. Granted the facility is a little older but in tip top shape with very helpful staff. The concierge was wonderful helping with dinner reservations. As many have said the city market is less than a block away as well as the Butcher shop which is worth visiting and the liquor store. The slopes are about two blocks away. One of the best spots to be close to the slopes but not having to pay the Little Nell price which also looks like a beautiful property. Hot tubs and pool were in good condition and fully functional. We had one of our best evenings going to the Butcher shop and the liquor store and grilling our own steak and fish on the patio by the pool. (Grill Provided). Great place would stay there again.

 March 30, 2015: "Just a great place!"
We have stayed at Aspen Square for more than 20 years each March. We have our four daughters and their families come during that month along with friends from Norway. The staff always makes us feel welcome, the condos are immaculate, the pool and spa are clean and who wouldn't enjoy sitting in a hot tub looking up at the snowy mountains. The few challenges we have encountered over the years have been handled quickly and to our satisfaction. We would never stay anywhere else in Aspen! It is a great, wonderful, happy place!

 March 27, 2015: "Location! Location location!!"
This hotel is my absolute favorite in aspen. The people are fantastic and accomodating, and you cannot beat being across the street from the grocery on one side and the gondola on the other the gondola. Underground parking is very convenient. The maid service was outstanding. Despite this being an older hotel, there are many updates and it exudes character. the location can't be beat.

 March 15, 2015: "Great location, great amenities, great service"
While I was aware of the high cost of staying in Aspen, I was still surprised by the room charge when my friends (a couple) made the booking for a two room apartment (2 couples) for a week.When we checked into the hotel on a Sunday, despite arriving well past midnight, the driver had no problem finding the place as it is centrally located. The gondola station to the Aspen Mountain is just across the road. Our apartment directly faces the Aspen Mountain, the view of the Mountain and skiers coming down are awesome.The apartment is large, homely, tidy and comfortable, with all cooking utensils in good working order. On two nights that we decided not to eat out, there was no problem for our wives to cook some home style dishes.The apartment is clean as everyday the cleaner came in to do the beds and clean up the whole place. The staff were all courteous and attentive. Whenever we needed something like a humidifier or cooking pot, they were always delivered promptly.The hotel has two outdoor spas which are very popular in the evenings. After skiing for a day, there is nothing better than soaking in a hot spa. There is also an outdoor pool (12 metres) which is heated. I used the pool a few times and it was quite pleasant. Although expensive, there is really nothing that's lacking with this hotel. As it is only a stone's throw from the Aspen mountain gondola, and it is close to bus stops to other mountains, the central location is the biggest drawcard. If location, convenience and comfort are high on the list, you can't go wrong with this hotel. Highly recommended.

 March 14, 2015: "My home away from home"
I have been staying at Aspen Square every Jan/Feb for over 20 years now. The location is excellent and the condos are furnished to a high standard. But what really sets AS apart are the wonderful staff. Everyone - from those who work on the Front Desk, to the fabulous concierges, to the housekeeping and maintenance staff comes to work with a smile on their faces and a friendly attitude of " how can I help you today?" Well done Warren and Dana - you run a great outfit. See you in 2016. 

February 4, 2015: "Great location and Friendly Staff"
We stayed here with a group of friends and took a 1 bedroom condominium. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the Aspen lifts and close to the supermarket and bottle shop. We sorted our ski hire and tickets prior to arrival and I agree that that's the way to go. The hotel is clean, with all the amenities you could want. Very close to all the restaurants and night life.

February1, 2015: "Great Location"
Fantastic place to stay. Close to everything. Great service and the housekeeping is excellent. Would highly recommend to anyone, especially families. Few steps to the supermarket and ski lifts. Quality apartments.

If you are a family looking for a great location with great value then this is it. It's your typical 2 bed 2 bath ski condo with very American styling. Has a concierge, pool, spas etc... You can't beat this location. remember to negotiate with the ski rental providers... We saved $1700 from the original quote just by asking.

September 27, 2014:“Very nice stay at Aspen Square”
This property is one of the best locations in Aspen. We rented a 500 foot condo (studio) that was perfect for 2 people. The price was very reasonable, the room was spotless, and the employees were helpful. The only reason we did not give it 5 stars is that the facility is a bit old, but very well kept. We will use this hotel again in the future.

September 20, 2014: “A great place to stay”
We made our first visit to Aspen and timed it just right for the fall color at Maroon Bells. In a expensive city, Aspen Square was a great option at a reasonable price. We had a studio on the 4th floor, facing the ski hill. The unit was up to date and well decorated. The bed was comfortable and the location was great. Definitely would recommend!

September 18: “Wow! What a beautiful hotel!”
I recently took my mom to visit Aspen for the 1st time, and we had the opportunity to spend the trip at Aspen Square. The hotel was soooo beautiful. The staff was so friendly and the room was outstanding. But most of all the view of Aspen Mountain was spectacular. Location was downtown Aspen, with walking distance to everything. When you are here, make sure you visit Poppycock's Cafe for their world famous buttermilk oatmeal pancake. Thanks again Aspen Square for making our stay a home away from home. 5 STARS!!!!!

September 10, 2014: “Aspen Square Every Time!”
Our family has been staying at Aspen Square whenever we visit Aspen and Maroon Bells for about 30-40 years (since before air conditioning was added). It is always a perfect place for us, and others should enjoy it also. Staff has always been great, and the location cannot be beaten. Now that we are geezers, we still enjoy it every chance we get!

Room Tip: If you don't particularly like the decor in first room, ask to see another!

September 9, 2014: “My favorite spot”
I love this little place, the rooms are well decorated, comfortable and spacious. We have stayed 3-4 times over the past couple years and love each room we have had. Right downtown so you can walk everywhere, covered parking to stow your vehicle and the staff is very accommodating. I look forward to our upcoming visit in Dec.

September 2, 2014: “The only place to stay when visiting Aspen!”
Our family has been coming to Aspen Square for many years and we are always happy with our stays. The location cannot be beat (right near the Gondola in the city center), the rooms are comfortable (we usually have a 2 bedroom), and the amenities like pool and hot tub are well maintained. Most importantly, the staff is very friendly and helpful. This is the place to stay when you are in Aspen!

August 28, 2014: “Second great stay at Aspen Square!”
We returned to the Aspen Square after three years and it was even greater than we remembered. In a very expensive town with some of the most fabulous hotels in the world, the Aspen Square is a moderate and nice choice right in the middle of town surrounded by much more expensive lodging. The two bedroom condo we had was perfect for our family. It was in beautiful condition and had great finishes. The courtyard with pool and hot tubs is not huge but is beautifully landscaped and certainly a nice spot to relax. The location across from the grocery store, Grog Shop, and Francesca's fresh pasta shop could not be more convenient. Try to get a condo facing Ajax Mountain -- it is lovely to sit on the balcony off your unit and drink coffee, taking in the mountain views. We really like this place.

The staff here was excellent. One of the concierge ladies, whose name I am sorry I did not get, chased us all the way to the bus stop three blocks away to clarify a traffic situation due to the USA Pro Challenge bike race that was in town -- she saved us a lot of aggravation that day and we appreciated it. Suffice it to say that the staff goes above and beyond to help.

June 2014: “Terrific Value, Great Location”
This was our first stay at the Aspen Square, and it will not be our last. We stayed in a slightly dated studio condo on the 3rd floor, but had a great view of Aspen Mountain. The balcony was small but adequate, the king size bed very comfy, the seating area more than adequate, and the small nicely-stocked kitchen was a nice luxury. There is a wood-burning fireplace with plenty of free wood and fire starter, but being June, we didn't use this amenity.

The hotel has free covered parking in the basement and the wifi is complimentary and very fast. The flat screen TV is large, can be easily swiveled to view from bed or the leather cough, and had a wide variety of HD stations. 

We found the room whisper quiet, which was great. The staff are friendly and helpful, and Laura, the concierge, a gem. All of her recommendations for shops, hikes, cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, and events were spot on. The daily room service was excellent. We loved the pool and two hot tubs ... great after a day of hiking. The location is hard to beat ... right in the middle of everything ... and a short walk to dozens of restaurants, bars, and shops. Once you're parked, you won't need your car unless you're going somewhere away from town.Only issue we had was with the blinds (they are not the dark out variety, which can make sleeping in a bit harder) and a slow-to-drain shower. But other than that one issue this place is a great spot to stay and the value (for Aspen) could not be better.

June 2014: “Couldn't Have Been More Comfortable”
From full kitchen, completely appointed, to camp chair in the closet, everything was there.
 Amazingly good lighting and places for iPads and such. Every room has a balcony. Smack downtown too. Returning next year!

April 2014: “Aspen Square”
No surprises. Exactly as described in the reviews and on their website. Great location, We rented the fireplace studio for 4 nights last week and we were happy with everything. The only negative I can remember was the fireplace door needed to be fixed. Well trained and happy staff. Clean room and property. Recommend it.

November 2013:  “Great location and extremely well-planned, quality rooms”
The hotel is centrally located in Downtown Aspen five minutes or less from the Gondola, Paradise Bakery, Popycock's, Red Onion, etc. Rooms are of excellent quality with all amenities. Above all, the rooms have more storage available for the temporary guests' clothing and equipment than any unit I've ever been in--skis, clothes, whatever; the two-bedroom, two-bath apartment the four of us had could've fitted in the "stuff" for two more people with ease. Parking is free, close, and some covered is available at least in off season. We were in off-season but the Desk opened the well-designed and landscaped hot tubs (2) and pool promptly on request. Off-season, prices are very reasonable considering the quality and attributes. Pricey in-season but a great place to stay if you can pay the freight. Oh, and bring you own wine opener--the furnished one is terrible.

October 2013: “What a great place”
We have stayed here several times, and it is one of our favorite places to stay in Aspen. The location is terrific, the rooms nice and roomy, and the staff accommodating. One word of caution. We were there in September, had an early flight out of Denver, and almost missed it because the front desk did not open until 7:00 and there was no one to get our car out of valet parking. A minor problem, but be forewarned and make the necessary arrangements.

October 2013: “Perfect family getaway”
My husband has a work event in Aspen every October, and sometimes our family (two boys ages 4 and 8) gets to tag along. We stayed this weekend, which was our 3rd time at the Aspen Square hotel. We get a different condo each time and have never been disappointed! On this trip, our place had a great view of the mountain and gondola! I love the patios off of the living and master bedroom area. It was too cool this weekend to spend long out there, but perfect for a breath of sweet mountain air. The condo had recently been renovated, with new carpet and a "mountain/industrial" decor. A special touch was the his/her bathrobes in the master closet--perfect for trips to/from the outdoor hot tub. In the past we enjoyed a package of local chocolates, but now that Aspen has gone to a "no plastic bag" policy in their stores, the hotel provides a reusable shopping bag as a check in gift. The location couldn't be better (66 steps to the gondola, which was free this past weekend), and parking is ample. If you're looking for an affordable, convenient family getaway, there is no better place to stay in Aspen!

July 28, 2013: “World's Friendliest Hotel General Manager”
Warren Klug is a local Aspen tourism celebrity. Warren is tall, kind, mild-mannered, totally genuine and keeps his office close to front desk so he can pop in and out to greet his guests. Warren gets was great guest service is. I stayed at this condominium style hotel for three (3) nights - awesome. An instant friendly & 'bearded' smile from John who checked me in has been working at the hotel for over 6 years. During my stay I watched a lot of very happy guests intermingle and enjoy this hotel's swimming pool. Their downtown location is perfect as the mountain is right behind them and downtown Aspen restaurants and retail are right in front of them. They have a ton of repeat guests. I met some who have been returning for over 40 years! I liked the rooms because for me they were bigger than normal and were fully equipped with kitchen and a living area. Felt more like a fresh and recently renovated apartment home-away-from-home to me. For a down home hotel experience right in the middle of the fun and action where the staff care use this place - awesome!

September 3, 2013: “A little slice of heaven”
We truly love staying at Aspen Square Condo. It is located in the center of town and Warren and his staff are amazing. There is plenty of hiking and fantastic restaurants located right near the condos.

September 3, 2013: “Best location, amazing staff”
Stayed there in January, Amazing location, lovely staff. Very nice pool and spas. The rooms are cleaned daily and are so nice to come back to after skiing. There are even humidifiers in every room. Every day there is a hot cider waiting for you in the lobby.

September 3, 2013: “Absolutely wonderful”
We loved our stay at Aspen Square! The condo was clean, really clean, the staff friendly and very helpful and the location could not be beat. We did have one problem with the cleaning staff, but the manager sent us a beautiful bottle of champagne to compensate which was awesome! Next time we're in Aspen we will stay at the Square! Can't wait to go again!

September 24, 2013: “Best condo in Aspen”
We called at the last minute because Estes Park was flooded out. Reservations clerk alerted us to a special rate, very reasonable. Well equipped studio condo with full kitchen. In the heart of Aspen but relatively quiet. Hotel provides free parking and if the indoor lot fills, the desk clerk will find a spot on the street and take your car there until a spot opens up. Life saver in crowded Aspen.

October 2, 2013: “Convenient, Caring, and Well-appointed”
Centrally located in downtown Aspen, within walking distance of most things, with free parking in the courtyard. Staff was thoughtful and responsive. Room was great -- spacious, had everything, including a balcony and fireplace (and even games, if you are so-inclined). And, a small box of candy to top things off.

October 3, 2013: “Perfect spot in Aspen”
Front desk staff very professional. Our room was on the second floor in a back corner and was comfortable and very nicely appointed for the two of us. We even had a view of the mountain behind us. Grocery, liquor, and bike rental shops right across the street. Great to be able to walk to all restaurants. Cleaning staff was great every day of the 4 days we were there. Only drawback was we were next to the bus line. At first it seemed a bit intrusive, but very shortly thereafter it seemed much less so. We loved our stay.

"My wife and I spent our 10 year anniversary at the Aspen Square. The hotel knew it was our anniversary and went out of their way to make sure the weekend was special. This hotel is in a great location, right in the middle of everything. Once we parked our car on Friday, no reason to drive until we left. Our room was wonderful, with a very comfortable king bed, nice living area. While we did eat all of our meals out, the kitchen was fully stocked and ready to cook. The pool is gorgeous and clean. The two hot tubs were, well, nice and hot & relaxing. Staff is nice, friendly, and accommodating. This was our very first trip to Aspen, and this hotel did not disappoint. Thanks Aspen Square!!!"

"One of the best places to stay in Aspen. it is right there in the middle of town. Just a block away from the slopes and a couple of blocks from down town. Rooms have kitchens so we cooked a couple of nights for dinner and were able to do our own breakfasts. In the afternoon the cleaning service came in and cleaned the dishes and cleaned up the room very nicely. They also have a gas grill out by the pool deck area where you can grill out if you like. Front desk was always friendly and helpful. Concierge was right there willing to set up reservations for anything from horseback riding, White water rafting, to dinner reservations. This was a summer trip but I know during winter it is just perfect place to ski down walk really just a block over and be in the hotel heading to your room. then back down to the heated pool or hot tubs. It is an older building, Built in the 60's but kept up to date to be sure. The rooms are privately owned condos so each one is in a little different style. Some have been updated more recently that others but all that we used (4 different studio condos) were nice in their own way and had no problems with. Anyone that wants to go see the heart of Aspen needs to come out and stay here."

"I have stayed at Aspen Square many times and each time is as good as the last. The studios and suites are excellent and have all the extras you need. Each room has an open fire which is easy to get going.I stay in studios and all have balconies and views of the mountains or the street. Aspen Square is centrally located next to the Gondolas and a short walk to the Little Nell where 5pm drinks are mandatory. The rooms come with kitchens and are combined sitting and bedroom if you take a studio. It is a short walk to the supermarket as well. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are cleaned daily. It is also a very quiet place to stay. Aspen is a great town and if you don't ski there are plenty of places to eat and shop. Aspen has plenty of luxury boutiques and also quirky shops if you are prepared to explore. Aspen Square is a great place for the skier and non-skier."

"We changed our plan the last minute and decided to spend a day in Aspen. As it was the off season, we were able to book a room the day before through Expedia at a very good rate. We got room 401, a studio with a king bed. While I would not say it is newly renovated, it is not very outdated either. The room faces East Cooper Ave but we did not hear much noise, most likely because it was the off season and the area was not crowded at all. Pros: very friendly staff, the room provides nice touches here and there (like nice toiletries, sweets, tea and coffee, extra towels if needed etc), and a very comfortable bed. Most importantly the location is fantastic! We walked everywhere, and there is a supermarket across the street if you feel like cooking instead of eating out. Cons: there is only one elevator and it takes forever! The carpeting inside the elevator as well as on the 4th floor (and I assume the same for the rest of the building) needs to be replaced. The underground parking spaces are tight so it is not easy to get in and out. Overall though, we are very satisfied with our stay despite some drawbacks."

"The hotel is luxuriously appointed with large studio apartments being the norm. Styles of rooms vary from "western" theme to ultra modern minimalist white. All studios have well appointed kitchens and comfortable lounge area. central location affords access to everything that Aspen has to offer. exquisite shops,interesting malls and the night time fairy lights in all the trees in town.Concierge available all day to organise outings,dining,events, whatever your requirement. Staff are ever willing , helpful and agreeable. We have been coming here for many years and each year it seems to be better."

"I was impressed with Aspen Square from the time we arrived. Check in was prompt & painless. It was all the little extras that made our stay memorable.A box of hand made chocolates was a nice welcome gift. The Monday night meet & greet by management with complimentary nibbles & beverages was a nice way to meet other guests. The hot apple cider & cookies in the lobby after a hard day skiing was also most welcome. The location was central & within walking distance of bars & restaurants. Views from our room were awesome. Looking up aspen mountain and across the gondolas. All in all everything was faultless. If I was being picky, the only thing I would fault was the slow lift."

"I'd stayed at Aspen Square several times in the late 1980's and returned this year with my husband. We had a studio with king bed, which had been nicely upgraded. The location is fantastic if you like to wander around downtown, 1 block to grocery store, nice courtyard with pool. I love the atmosphere of Aspen in the summer - music festival, lots of families. Our condo faced Cooper Street but we were not bothered by noise. Our only "complaint" if the lack of outlets, so I've started packing a power strip or extension cord for charging cell phones, laptops, iPads, etc."

"Over the past 20 years we have stayed at several properties in Aspen. In our opinion, Aspen Square is at the top of the list. Aspen square is centrally located, the quality of the rooms and the space available in the rooms is the best value for the money. They have studios, one bedroom and larger units. The rooms are immaculate, very comfortable and the service is excellent. Aspen Square has concierge service available, exercise facilities, pool and hot tub. The only negative might be the availability of parking, however, the front desk will help solve the problem if there are no spaces available. "We spent 2 weeks in condo 110 - it is a fabulous 3 bed, 3 bathroom apartment with lots of space for everyone. It has two living areas which we found great as we took the children. It has an excellent location across from the gondola. Great pool and jacuzzi on premises after a long Day skiing. I have stayed at North of Nell, Durant, Limelight and Clarendon over the years but feel Aspen Square is the best due to it's location and facilities. Will be back again next year!"

"The Aspen Square is the perfect location to stay in Aspen. We visited the property about 15 years ago and just returned this month. While much of the facility remains the same, the condo we occupied was updated and looked newer than its age. For an Aspen location, the rooms are spacious. We booked at the last minute and received a slight discount on top of the lowest advertised price. The gentlemen at the reservations line was so polite and helpful, definitely went above and beyond. The gondola is literally a 1 minute walk from the front door of the hotel, you cannot find a more centrally located property in this price range."

"We spent 6 days at Aspen Square this trip, and once again it was a wonderful experience. Our room was fantastic, with amazing views to the north and west. Having laundry machines on every floor is another huge plus. But the views and great room aside, what really makes Aspen Square so fantastic is its location, and the people that work there. You are close to everything! The gondola, the bus station, 'downtown', everything! And the staff are always friendly and want to make your stay just perfect. Without any hesitation I will be staying at Aspen Square again in the future."

"This was our first trip to Aspen, and Aspen Square proved the perfect place for us to stay. It was right in the middle of town, and only about a 3-minute walk to the gondola on Aspen Mountain (which I most highly recommend taking to the top for some spectacular hiking), making it nice not to have to take the car everywhere. The people at the hotel could not have been friendlier. And the accommodations were wonderful. The bedroom was huge, and the living space and kitchen were just perfect. We cooked in a few nights, and the condo was very well-equipped. The swimming pool was gorgeous, though we didn't get a chance to use it. Our room, and the hotel in general, was very quiet! Though you could hear the buses outside, they stopped fairly early and weren't terribly bothersome (and I'm very sensitive to noise). Thank you for making our first trip to Aspen so special!"

"Just returned from a short but sweet trip to Aspen. We loved the 2 bedroom apartment style hotel with many amenities in our room as well as a waterfall pool and two hot tubs. Beautiful grounds and great employees. Location was tremendous and from our balcony we could see the amazing mountain (gondola) and we were right in the village. Clean, very comfortable and room 119 was perfect for our family. Great kitchen and bath products were fantastic (including scrunchy) even make-up remover! Bag for grocery shopping- Aspen does not provide plastic bags at grocery store so Aspen Square has a reusable one. The store is on the same block. Totally loved our stay but hey hiking etc how bad can it be?!"

"There's no restaurant, but Aspen Square is surrounded by cafes and other places to eat; there's a supermarket across the street, and the Butcher Block, also across the street, does excellent soup. Will certainly be coming back!"
