One of Aspen's most popular January events, Winterskol, returns tomorrow and runs through Sunday, January 15. The 2017 theme is "Our Cup Runneth Over" and as we expect more snow this week, the theme is especially meaningful! This winter festival has been celebrating the joys of ice and snow since the 1950s, and while individual events have changed over the years, the original embrace of winter is unchanged. Among the fun events you can look forward to are the Wintersculpt snow-sculpture competition on the Mill Street mall, the Buttermilk Full Moon hike and dinner at the Cliff House, the Apple Strudel Downhill at Highlands, and of course, the Canine Fashion show in Wagner Park. A torchlight parade down the face of Aspen Mountain will be followed by fireworks on Saturday night at 8pm. You can get the whole schedule at aspenchamber.org.
