The 5Point Adventure Film Festival will be bringing the festival’s films upvalley this weekend. The annual Aspen Encore event will be held at the Wheeler Opera House on Saturday, May 4 at 7 p.m. The event will screen highlights and some of the winners from the festival, which took place last week in Carbondale. Among the films to be shown will be “8000+” following paraglider Antoine Girard’s exploration of the Karakorum Mountains in Pakistan; “Life of Pie” the story of Jen Zeuner and Anne Keller’s pizza and their impacts on Fruita; and “Mountain in the Hallway” — the story of Tate McDowell and Brian McDonnell, brought together by a passion for the Tetons and their battle to beat cancer.
