This weekend as you're driving up to Aspen, don't be surprised if you see colorful balloons dotting the skies, because the 47th annual Snowmass Balloon Festival gets underway on Friday, September 16. The Balloon Festival is being held September 16-18, 2022. Balloon launches on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7-9 am in Snowmass Town Park. Friday night, enjoy the amazing "night glow", festivities, food trucks, and music from 7=9 pm with peak glowing 7:45 -8:45 pm in the field across Brush Creek Road from Snowmass Rec Center. A Balloon Festival Enjoy up-close viewing and a food truck on the launch field, park along Brush Creek Road and listen to the FM transmission or hike and bike on nearby trails. The Snowmass Balloon Festival takes place in Snowmass Town Park. The Snowmass Village Shuttle provides free public transportation throughout Snowmass Village to Town Park. Routes and pick-up locations can be found here.
