For a true western experience, nothing beats a good rodeo. Tomorrow, June 8, the 43rd season of the Snowmass Rodeo opens. From then until August 17, the Rodeo will take place each Wednesday at the Rodeo Grounds outside of Snowmass Village. The gates open at 5pm with plenty of fun activities for kids, and a BBQ dinner starts the proceedings. The Rodeo competitions begin at 7pm. Events include bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, team roping, barrel racing and of course, bull riding. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or online.
