The second weekend of Spring Jam starts today and the event schedule is packed with fun things to do, places to go and events to watch. Bud Light Big Rail Fridays takes place today at 2pm on Fanny Hill in Snowmass. After dinner head into Aspen for the 8pm KickAspen Big Air competition at the base of Aspen Mountain. Saturday after at 4:30pm the Dirty Dozen Brass Band will play a free concert in Snowmass Base Village. And finally on Sunday, the "feel good" event of the year returns with the Fallen Friends Memorial Event at Aspen Highlands. This irreverent event celebrates the Rocky Mountain lifestyle and zest for life of local friends Wally Westfeldt and John Nicoletta who passed away in 2008 in separate accidents. Costumes and "tom-foolery" prevail in the race down Scarlett's Run above the Merry Go Round, which raises funds for AVSC. Last year 102 people participated in this lively tribute.
