Aspen is used to having short-term visitors coming and going. But the Audubon Society actually counts them as they migrate. Tomorrow, May 27, ACES is hosting the Spring Migration Bird Count, to get an idea of who is flying by Aspen on their way north. If you love birds, this is a fun way to learn new species of birds and mingle with other birders while doing a service to the community. But you will need to "get up with the birds" - the count begins at 5:15 am at the ACES center at Hallam Lake! Details at www.aspennature.org.
