If you will be in Snowmass Village this weekend, expect to encounter the remarkable sight of teams of muddy, exhausted people staggering around the Mall. Tough Mudder is returning to town, with rigorous tests of "physical strength and mental grit" taking place Saturday and Sunday. The 10-12 mile course, at the base of Fanny Hill and Snowmass Base Village, is filled with mud and challenging obstacles for the teams, and is considered one of the most intense courses on the Tough Mudder schedule. Sounds like fun, right? More than 1.5 million people have taken part and more than $6.5 million has been raised for the Wounded Warrior project through these contests.
