ACES, the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies, invites you to help count birds in the Aspen area during the 119th Audubon Christmas Bird Count on Sunday, December 16. The longest running citizen science survey in the world, the Bird Count occurs twice each year. Bird lovers of all experience levels are welcome to take part in this census, which has helped assess the health of bird populations and guided conservation action since 1900. Birders will meet at Hallam Lake before heading out to count in the Aspen area. You can also participate by feeder watching, owling, and count-week observations. It's a fun way to help our avian friends lead a healthy life here in the Roaring Fork Valley.
