Aspen Film is proud to be partner and curator of the Shining Mountains Film Festival. Held in honor of the second anniversary of the City of Aspen declaring the second Monday in October “Indigenous Peoples Day,” the festival explores Native American culture, spirituality, vision, determination, and strength through shorts and feature films. This year's Film Festival begins on Saturday, October 12 with a free kickoff event in the space adjacent to the Wheeler Opera House. The kickoff begins at 9:30 am and the day will be filled with storytelling, dancing, songs and more until 3 pm. The Film Festival begins at 3 pm on Sunday, October 13 and picks up again at 6:30 Monday night, October 14.
