In the local newspapers today the Aspen Skiing Company announced the opening of additional terrain on Aspen Mountain. Lift 1A will open to allow additional access to the mountain as well. Snowmass will now have four designated routes for uphillers on the mountain and guests are asked to adhere to those routes during public hours of operation. Additionally, Skico has decided to open Buttermilk and Aspen Highlands together on December 18. Originally, Highlands was to have opened on December 12.
