Sunday, April 12, Aspen Highlands will close for the season. Locals know that Highlands Closing Day is legendary for the party atmosphere, and especially for costume-wearing and crazy antics. So the Schneetag 2015 event fits right in. Schneetag, which means "snow day" in German, is a competitive race featuring 4-person teams. The participants race down a hill, launch off a jump and across a pond in a homemade craft of the team's choice. A lot of water, costumes and hilarity ensue. This event is not for the faint of heart, but it makes for great watching!
