If you're downvalley this Friday afternoon, don't miss the small-town vibe in Basalt at the annual Holiday Tree Lighting. The merriment takes place in historic downtown Basalt from 4-6pm and includes Santa, a bonfire, hot chocolate, cookies and hot cider, carriage rides, ornament decorating and the Wyly Arts Mart. Attendees are encouraged to consider making a donation to the Aspen Community Foundation's Emergency Assistance Fund for needy families. This event will be repeated in the Willits Town Center on December 11.
