The Ute Mountaineer is hosting the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour tonight, February 27 and tomorrow night in Aspen at the Wheeler Opera House. The Banff Mountain Film Festival is an international film competition featuring the world’s best footage on mountain subjects, and is held annually on the first weekend in November in Banff, Alberta, Canada. The Festival World Tour is a selection of the best films entered in the festival, and goes out on tour immediately after the Canadian festival ends. The host organization in each tour location chooses a program that reflects the interests of the local community, and the Ute Mountaineer has hosted the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour in Aspen every year since 1997. Tickets can be purchased at Aspen Show Tix. The shows start at 7pm both evenings.
